About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

All Geared Up

Yesterday was my stepson's birthday. It's the second year in a row he hasn't really been able to celebrate. This year because of lockdown, and last year he was in hospital having his gall bladder removed!! Here's hoping next year will be better.

Josh loves cars, so generally that's what I put on his birthday cars.

This one is a Hunkydory Pick and Mix Topper called A Retro Ride. I loved the yellow and red combination, so really picked that up with the mats and layers. I used Papermill Post Box Red Card, with some extremely old Create and Craft Yellow Textured Card (it's not actually textured - it just looks it). I also used some Crafter's Companion Luxury Gold Matt cardstock. I tilted the topper for a bit of interest, and cut the letters with Diamond Press Block Alpha.

Take care and stay safe,
Cxxx
