About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Anyone for Orienteering?

It's the start of a new fortnightly challenge over at Use Your Craft Stash, and we are up to O and P. So - use anything from your stash to make a creation with a link to O or P. I was a little unsure what to do for this, and while I was prevaricating, I had a sort through of my box of toppers etc that I have discarded for use with family and friends. They're the ones I know I won't use - but can't quite throw away. And there it was!  A La Pashe decoupage sheet called Orienteering. I vaguely remember thinking I would use it for my OH - but never did!  An added bonus was that the hat was Orange.

So, here is my Orange and Olive Green Orienteering card using a Crafter's Companion Only Words die, "on the edge" of the card!!

For placement of the die, I scored a piece of A4 stamping card in half and lined up the little points with the score.

Happy crafting!

  1. That's a fantastic card. I used to love orienteering, and we had done some geocaching too. Creative Blessings. Tracy x
