About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Day 18 - The Ultimate Experience!!

Evening!! A less busy week started today, with just an afternoon. That leaves two more afternoons, one morning, and one full day - which does leave me a little time to play. So, despite feeling a little ropey and bunged up this morning, I dug out my Crafter's Companion Intructional DVD's - which I have to admit to only very briefly looking at before - and put the original Ulitmate Pro DVD in my computer! When I started crafting, one of the my first purchases was an Ultimate. It was in The Range, and I looked at it thinking "I have no idea what to do with it - but I think I'm going to need one!" And I most certainly did.
I still have that Ultimate, and have to admit to not upgrading to the Ultimate Pro until I became part of the Crafter's Companion Design Team. I learnt how to use it a little by trial and error - and also by watching Create and Craft. The Ultimate and then the Pro became my mainstay for creating boxes and scoring card blanks - and I don't think I will ever stop using it for the latter.

Having watched (and taken notes on) the projects, I shall have to make some of them as there are some fab card and box shapes that I haven't worked on for an age!!
Back tomorrow,
Cxxx

  1. I have the Ultimate too, I have used it for a while but you have encouraged me to have a play with it again. I can't wait to see your creations. Creative Blessings, Tracy x
