Afternoon!! It's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and More. This fortnight we are looking for your cards and gifts 'For a Special Woman'. So, this could be Mother's Day - but doesn't have to be.
My Mum has had a really tough start to the year, losing my Dad a few weeks ago. So, I have made a cupcake box ready for some special treats on Mother's Day.
I used the Six Cupcake Gable End Box template from Crafter's Companion - along with A3 double sided Indulgence card. I teamed this up with some Fresh Pink Centura Pearl.
The flowers are a combination of paper roses from my stash, and some made with CC Die'sire Quilling dies. The ones I used are: small and large Fringed Flower, Itsy Bitsy Bloom, Blossom and Stamen. In addition, I used Die'sire Essentials Flowers for all Occasions to fill in some of the gaps - and the centres were also put into the quilled flowers. The leaves are Leaf 2.
I made a little matching tag, and used Die'sire 1" Alphabet dies to cut the letters. A few pearls, and some ribbon tied in a bow around the handles, completed the box.
Now all I need to do is make the cakes!!
Make sure you pop on over to Crafty Cardmakers and More for more inspiration - and the link for entering your creation!
