About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Crafter's Companion Big Score

The lovely Fiona is on Create and Craft today with the Big Score - if you've missed the 8am show - she's back on at 1pm.

This is one of the projects I made for the show using the instructions from the Big Score CD. It's called the 'Magnificent Mailing Box' - and is sooooo easy to make!
I decide to use the Opulence A3 card, cut down to 8 1/4" wide as per the instructions. For the decoration on the top, I did a bit of faux iris folding. I used a square template, and instead of folding paper, I used strips of the card, edged with Faded Jeans DI.
I used Die'sire Essentials Circles and Flowers for All Occasions for decoration, along with some ribbons and pearls!!

Make sure you tune in for the shows today!!

    1. If you have the CD that goes with it, the instructions are on there and you can print written ones out if you prefer. Have a go - there are some fab projects just waiting for you to try!!
