About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Pretty Easel Card!!

Afternoon. Have finally got round to posting again. This is an A5 Easel card I made for a friend's daughter.
The topper and card are Hunkydory - and I cut the lettering with Die'sire 1" Contemporary Alphabet and Number dies. And I embellished with some resin flowers. Not really much else to say!!

Good to be back!!

Well, six weeks ago, I was merrily blogging every single day, having set myself a challenge of sharing a crafty image a day for the year. Then, at the beginning of April, I realised just how much pressure I was putting myself under to try to keep it going. And I decided that I wasn't enjoying it anymore, so stopped!! Life's too short to do something you're not enjoying!!

Lots has happened since then. I have set myself other challenges including a triSUP - paddleboarding, mountain biking and beach running. And we have acquired a puppy - gorgeous little labradoodle called Molly!

So, what brings me back to my blog!! Well, you may have been watching Sara on Hochanda over the past couple of days, with the Big Score and new Downton Abbey A3 card. And I'm very proud of the fact that the chocolate box that's been shown on most of the shows is mine!

The new Downton Card is just gorgeous, and I just loved making samples for this launch!!
This design is from the Below Stairs collection, and I used the Downton Decor and Opulent Corner dies from the Downton Abbey die range.
Inside, I used the Half Doily die - and used more of the card to make a band for the bars of chocolate!!

Have a few more samples to share - so will be back soon.
