About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Where did that week go?

Can't believe where the time has gone - a whole week without blogging!! The time just got away from me. We had a BBQ for my OH's birthday last Sunday, then it was back to work, and catching up with my crafting list of jobs.

Then yesterday, I started a new SUP class. On Thursday's it's ladies night when we all go out for a paddle and a bit of a natter. Well, Friday mornings is now Wake Up Work Out!! This means a bit of paddling, then a workout ON the paddleboards - think squats and planks and you'd be in the right ball park. Needless to say I got a bit wet from falling in at first - and now I hurt!! A lot!! We then headed over to Tauton to watch the T20 cricket - another of my OH's birthday pressies!!

This morning has seen me run one of the slowest 5k's in a looooonnnggg time - due to the inability to move my arms and legs properly after Friday's workout!!

We're off out in a mo for the last of my OH's birthday treats - this one's a surprise - so will hopefully tell you about it in my next blog.

Anyway - this is a card I made using the freebie from the Crafter's Inspiration (4) Magazine. The topper and the peachy paper are from the pack. The pink card is C&C's textured effect card, and the green leafy one is from my local market. Everything is mounted onto some green Bazzill.
It's on a 6x6 card - finished with ribbon and pearls from my stash!!

Now - off to get ready to go out again!!
