About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Crafter's Companion Challenge - Tag, Bag or Box!!

This month's challenge over at Crafter's Companion is 'Tag, Bag or Box'. Quite a scope there for your imagination. I have made a tag in a tag!!
I started by printing out the Tag template from the Scruffy Little Cat CD onto Kraft card. The great topper with the boots is from the Embellishments section of the CD, printed onto Neenah Solar White card.

The papers and flowers are all from the Nature section of the Embossalicious Resource CD, as is the little pocket for the smaller tag. The orange and blue papers were printed onto Silk Finish Paper, and the pink onto Centura Pearl Hint of Gold. The spiral flowers were also printed onto Centura Pearl, and then put back through the printer to print the blue paper on the back.

I used the 8x8 Rose Vine embossing folder to add some texture, and the sentiments are from Die'sire Sentimental Stamps - Memories are Made - stamped with Wild Honey and Victorian Velvet DI's.

To finish off, I inked the edges with Faded Jeans, Victorian Velvet and Wild Honey DI's, added some metal leaves and a butterfly from my stash, along with some ribbon and twine.
