About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Catitudes!!

When Crafter's Companion brought out Marilyn Robertson's Kimono range, I fell in love with it!! And now we have Catitudes too!! It's launching tonight on Hochanda at 8pm - and is just as amazing as Kimono is!!

There is a great collection including a CD, dies, embossing folder, paper pad and stamps. This twist-turn pop up card is made using one of the Character sheets from the CD, along with the flowers and sentiment - also from the CD.
Inside, I used the Opulent Chandelier embossing folder - and highlighted it with Pebeo Silver gilding wax before cutting out the centre piece.
I have also used the Champagne Glass, Elegant Chandelier and Classic Chaise dies - along with paper from the 8x8 Paper pad.

Be sure to tune in for the launch, and for the shows tomorrow.
