About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Monster Hugs

Today is my great nephew's first birthday. We are yet to have the pleasure of meeting him, but hopefully that will happen soon.

I made the card using Hunkydory Pick 'n' Mix Monster Hugs.

The patterned paper is Kanban, from an old Well Wishes and Celebrations pad. The large number is cut using Crafter's Companion 3" number dies, and the letters using CC Kinetic Alphabet.

Happy crafting,

Cxxx

Sugar Buttons

Have delved deep into my stash for this week's make - a heart easel card with a Sugar Buttons topper. The base card is cut from white stamping card with Crafter's Companion Heart Easel die set, as are the blue Core'dinations mats.

The topper is from a very old Kanban Sugar Fairies topper sheet. For the stopper, I used X Cut scalloped heart dies, and a heart from the topper sheet.
And that's it - no frills or frippery on this one today!

Don't forget to come and join us at Use Your Craft Stash on Facebook - we'd love to see your makes.

Happy crafting,

Cxxx
