About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Scruffy Little Kitten - Drawstring Bag

Evening - just popped on with a quick post this evening. The instructions I used for making the bag are found HERE. I changed the measurements slightly, as the printable cotton twill I used was US Letter size - so I worked with 11" width rather than 12".
I printed one of the papers from the CD onto printable cotton twill, cut it in half, and attached it to either end of a length of plain white cotton.
The fabric companion was printed onto another piece of cotton twill, slightly trimmed, and then sewn with a straight stitch onto the white cotton.
I used a blue/green cotton as the lining fabric - which isn't visible in the photo. Once I had completed the bag as per the instructions (which were really easy to follow - and I love the way the lining is attached), I threaded the ribbon through the top to make the drawstring.

Like I said - a quick post!! Back in the morning!!
