About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Trophy in a box!!

This morning I have another of the trophy cards to share with you. And for good measure, I made a matching box for this one!!
I used watercolour card to print the Trophy card on - and then printed one of the matching papers on the other side. I printed the front of the card several times so that I could decoupage it, and also use it on the box too.
To decorate and embellish the card, I used one of the tags and sentiments from the CD, and cut several flowers using Die'sire Small Fringed and Itsy Bitsy Quilling Flowers. I also used Leaf 2, with some ribbons and pearl flowers.

For the box, I measured the finished card, and added a little extra for wriggle room in the box, then 1/2" each of the four sides for the depth of the box. I printed the papers onto more Watercolour card and then cut two pieces according to the measurements.
This was scored with my Big Score board, and then decorated in a similar way to the card itself.

Don't forget to tune in at 11am to see Fiona with the fab 4 day deal!! I'll be back later with my last project.
Take care,
Cxxx
