About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Football!!

Finally got round to blogging the Father's Day card I made for my Dad. He loves football - and with the World Cup on at the moment, thought it would be a good theme for his card.
I used a topper from an old Kanban kit. I love the neutral tones of the image, and decided to keep it simple with browns and creams. The A5 card is made from brown card from my stash, topped with a lightweight cream textured card. The grey/brown card is a scrap I had left over from some pieces I printed from Craft Artist - can't remember the name of the digi kit - but it's one of the free ones.

I embossed more brown with Embossalicious Dottie folder, and finished the lot of with some ribbon tied into a knot.

A quick - but heartfelt - welcome to my new followers - both here on the blog and via Pinterest. It's great to have you here.

I'd like to enter this into:

Back soon.
