About Me

My photo
I'm a retired primary school teacher, who started paper crafting in 2008, when I had a fancy to make my own Christmas cards. Since then, I have tried all sorts of techniques and styles - and I kind of like them all. I have been lucky enough to be on blog teams and large design teams and to do a bit of freelance demonstrating - and I love the challenge of working with different products. My crafting style is very varied - from junk journaling and art journaling, bookbinding and journal making, to quilting and patchwork - and of course I still make cards. This variety keeps me interested - and my crafty stash growing!! I'm always seeking inspiration for new projects.

Another busy week!!

I always think I'm about to have a lull where I can kick back and relax - but it never seems to happen. Mostly, I think, because when there is a gap, I fill it by getting ahead on things on my crafting list in preparation for the next big thing that will land in my lap.

This week is no different!! But having spent the day dressed as a pirate on a school trip with twenty eight 6 and 7 year olds, I'm having a little rest while dinner's in the oven - and decided to blog. This is from a while ago when I went on a workshop with Julie Hickey.
It's a little A6 card made using the Botanica papers and bows. The papers are so gorgeous that it needs very little else other than a  few 3D butterflies, the strip of Kraft card and the bow and sentiment.

There's not really a lot else to say about it - so I won't. What I will say, is that it is great to welcome all the new followers. I have had a quick look and I have 56 followers on Google, 17 on Bloglovin, 38 on my FB page, and 12 on Pinterest. A grand total of 123 (if my maths is correct). Compared to some blogs that's peanuts - but for me it's a great feeling to know that people out there are interested enough in what I am doing to follow me. So a huge thanks to you all.

I would love for you to leave me a comment if you have the time, as I love reading them all.

Back soon,
Cxxx
